Some years ago my daughter undertook a visual arts course and, not being able to afford custom framing, turned to her father to help out. I purchased some basic framing equipment and completed the framing for her first photography exhibition. She was delighted, as was I, having enjoyed the challenge. The next 4 years of her study provided an opportunity to improve my skills and accuracy and soon friends and acquaintances began asking me to do their framing. More research and contacts with other accomplished framers opened my eyes to an incredible range of framing techniques and designs. I revelled in the demands that high quality framing requires for creativity, artistic appreciation and precision. Having run my own leadlight business (Leadlight Delight) for over 30 years, I realised how much I enjoyed the experience of working closely with customers, helping them to see new possibilities and to achieve their dreams. A few years later I set myself up as a small home-based business, investing in equipment that delivers the accuracy and consistency that high quality framing requires. My goal continues to be to form a close working relationship with my customers, helping them to be the proud owners of uniquely framed items that provide pleasure far into the future.
